Gourmet Vanilla is a father /daughter business set up thirteen years ago, to market the first vanilla pods from South India. John Dean has a unique knowledge of vanilla spanning more than 20 years. Maggy set up Gourmet Vanilla to market Indian vanilla.
Throughout the nineties John Dean worked closely with the first project to grow vanilla in India. It's fair to say without John's determination and his committment to helping the people of India, vanilla would not be growing in India on the scale it is today.
Maggy and John maintain strong links with India. We continue to work closely with our skilled team in India to ensure we maintain our superb quality.
Gourmet Vanilla started in Kew in Surrey, on the edge of west London. Gourmet Vanilla now has a base in rural Shropshire, at Much Wenlock. From here we look after our customers in the Heart of England.
