1. Wash and cut the rhubarb into inch long pieces. Place in an oven proof dish. Add the water and golden syrup. The golden syrup takes away completely the tartness of the rhubarb
2. Slit the vanilla pods down the side with a sharp knife, open and scrape out the tiny black vanilla seeds.
3. Add both the vanilla pods and seeds to the rhubarb
4. Cover and bake in a very low oven (140/150 degrees) for about 40 minutes until the rhubarb is soft
